KAMPALA – The Speaker of Uganda’s Parliament, Anita Annet Among is a real combatant – not only skilled in snatching other women’s partners but someone who can concurrently fight on different front-lines.

Well – after finishing off Persis Namuganza – in what appeared to be a genuine cause – she has lined up other colleagues – including Mityana Municipality legislator Francis Zaake as well as Nakawa west MP Joel Ssenyonyi.

But the opposition MPs are not the only available dishes for the Bukedea Woman representative who is said to have grabbed the Budiope East Member of Parliament – Moses Magogo from another woman; as journalists are said to be nursing wounds of her side-kicks.

And the latest to fall in her line of fire were Babatv’s morning show-Gangamuka co-hosts – including Simon Muyanga Lutaaya, Adam Mahad Kungu as well as Lukia Mpoza. The television channel had to suspend the trio – reportedly for violating UCC operating standards but sources at the station revealed that Speaker Among had personally pushed owner – Moses Balyeku to take punitive action.

The trio had on Wednesday morning reportedly mocked parliament following the censure of Namuganza – insinuating how corruption in various government institutions had ceased.

The journalists during a live show are said to have lashed out at parliament for mobilising itself to cause the censure of the Busoga Minister as though it was the most pressing issue at hand.

“I want to thank parliament for censuring Namuganza. Uganda’s problems are finally solved by this censure. Hospitals will have drugs, our roads will be okay, the youth will get jobs, and Uganda c

Cranes will qualify for Afcon now that Namuganza is gone,” remarked Lutaaya. It should be recalled that Magogo – Among’s disputed husband and Budiope East MP – doubles as the Fufa President – the body responsible for The Cranes, which on Sunday failed a test to make it out of the Chan group stages.

Baba TV management has been under immense pressure levied by the office of the speaker as she demanded that the journalist is sacked for manifesting unprofessional standards.

“It has come to our attention that one of your staff – Simon Muyanga Lutaaya has conducted himself in a manner that breaches the minimum broadcasting standards of the UCC.

“We demand that he is suspended and investigated for misconduct,’ read, a letter from the office of the speaker addressed to the Baba TV management.

The suspension letter came in today- immediately after the journalist had just hosted former senior presidential press secretary, Joseph Tamale Mirundi on the morning political talk show.

Lutaaya as well as Kungu has since made public apologies over their conduct.
