GULU –Three people have been arrested in Amolatar district for allegedly killing an 89-year-old man.

Martin Ogang – a resident of Anyua village, Akwon sub-county was found dead on Sunday. Ogang’s wife is said to have found the body of his husband hanging in the house.

The suspects have been identified as Calvin Ogwal, Calvin Ocan, and another has only been identified as Odongo.

Patrick Jimmy Okema, the North Kyoga Regional Police Spokesperson said the suspects were arrested with the help of the police canine.

In Apac District, the police are looking for three people in connection to the death of Walter Acuma who was accused of stealing an unspecified amount of money from his aunt Janet Ayugi.

Acuma, a resident of Tetek village was allegedly picked from Atopi trading centre on Sunday by Denis Ebur. According to Okema, Ebur, Ayugi, and another unidentified person reportedly beat Acuna to death.

Okema said police are still searching for the suspects who have since disappeared from the village.
