The parents were prompted to notify the LCs after the boy had failed to return home, according to Kafeero, who added that he had forwarded the matter to Wobulenzi Police Station. Kafeero said all efforts – including placing of announcements through a megaphones in the area were done to find the whereabouts of kid in vain.

Kafeero explained further on Sunday morning – one of the residents, who was heading to the garden, notified the authorities after discovering a headless body near a tree. The killer had apparently taken-off with the head, leaving the torso behind.

Police have since transferred the torso to hospital for post-mortem as sniffer dogs patrolled the scene of crime.

Patrick Lule -the acting Savannah Regional police spokesperson, said the force has deployed officers to collect information – and a detailed account into the investigations would be released as soon as it surfaces, insisting that despite that fact the residents had concluded in describing the act as a ritual sacrifice, police was yet to establish the truth.
