The police confirmed that the arrested suspects include a man and woman, whose particulars had since been concealed for fear of jeopardising investigations. After executing their crime, the alleged killers fled to an unknown destination. At the time they raided the deceased’s home, she was alone.

Patrick Baleeke, LCI chairperson of Kanyogoga village narrated that residents heard Kiconco screaming for help and rushed only to find her lying dead in a pool of blood inside her house.

They immediately alerted police that rushed to the scene of crime to commence investigations.

Taddeo Tumusiime Magezi -the LCIII chairperson, Mugarama sub County condemned the act – calling upon the police to expedite investigations so that culprits could be charged, accordingly, for justice to prevail.

Esther Tumusiime Adeke- the Kibaale District Police Commander said the two suspects had been picked to assist with investigations – adding that once inquiries were over, they would be arraigned before court on murder charges.

The deceased’s body was picked and conveyed to Kibaale Health centre IV pending post-mortem.

According to Adeke, the hunt for other suspects was on-going.  She called on the public to cooperate with the police by providing vital information that could lead to the arrest of the other suspects.
