It is rather inconceivable that, Iddi Amin regime that was widely known for torture, and killings could have itself replicated in subsequent regimes of elites!
Just after the fall of Amin in 1979 uganda experienced extrajudicial killings and arrests which almost took the life of Yoweri Museveni as he relates in his biography. Museveni says he was rescued by General Akandwanaho and team.
There after Obote II regime registered worse human rights abuses than that of Iddi Amin regime.
The constitution of 1995 almost ushered in a new lease of life to Ugandans as safeguards were enshrined to cushion the citizens against the excesses of the regime.
When we continue to get people killed extra-judicially as in the case of sebulime killed by police while handcuffed and a host of other deaths and torture, one wonders if someone is not looking forward to beautifying Iddi Amin as a political saint of our time!!
The continued exposures of the Kakwenzire Rukirabashaija, the incarceration of Ssegirinya, Ssewanyana and a host of others, the vote stealing as was reported in Kayunga, (one wonders if the vote thief did not do in Ffefeka), and a lot more as may be known, make Amin times golden.
